Noordzee, or Mer du Nord, is a staple of Brussels’ food scene and a must-visit for seafood lovers. Located on Place Sainte-Catherine, this fish bar is known for serving the freshest catch in a vibrant and convivial atmosphere. For me, Noordzee holds a special place—it was my very first job when I arrived in Belgium. It’s where I first felt the pulse of Brussels' culinary heartbeat and discovered the magic of seafood served straight from the source.
